James Russell Partridge (1879–1946)

Mr J. R. Partridge

Commercial, legal, and sporting circles were represented at the funeral of Mr James Russell Partridge at Springvale Crematorium on Saturday morning. The service was conducted by Very Rev Dr R. Wilson Macaulay. Mr Partridge, who was a director of Messrs Harston, Partridge, and Co Pty Ltd, Little Collins st, law stationers, died suddenly at Cowes on Thursday. As a youth he played cricket with Hawthorn-East Melbourne, and was well known in lacrosse circles. He is survived by a widow, one son, and a step-daughter. Funeral arrangements were by Le Pine and Son.
