Herbert Paine (1849–1891)

Much regret was expressed this evening at the announcement of the death of Mr. Herbert Paine, the well-known secretary of Messrs. J. Martin & Co. Limited. He was seized with typhoid fever a few days ago, and internal hemorrhage setting in this morning he expired about 9 o'clock this evening. He was a man of genial manner, possessed exceptional business abilities, and was a much respected officer of the company. The funeral takes place to morrow.
