Winifred O'Reilly (1869–1937)

Mrs. Winifred O'Reilly, mother of Mr. J. F. O'Reilly, secretary of the Hairdressers' Union, died yesterday at St. Vincent's Hospital at the age of 69 years. The funeral will leave the Lady of the Rosary Church, Kensington Road, Kensington, at 10 o'clock to-morrow morning.

About 35 years ago, the late Mrs. O'Reilly was a prominent worker in the Labor movement, and her home in Surry Hills was the meeting place of the early stalwarts of that district. For a long time past, however, the state of her health precluded her taking an active part in the movement. Her husband predeceased her by two years.
