James O'Neill (1870–1911)

The death took place on Wednesday, last week, of Mr. James O'Neill, oldest son of Mr. Michael and Mrs. O'Neill, at the age of 41 years, after a painful illness extending over several weeks. Deceased was widely known and very popular, and his death is deeply regretted. The funeral took place on Friday, and was largely attended, the remains being interred in the R.C. cemetery, Rookwood, and Rev. Father Grace officiating at the graveside. Deceased leaves a wife and two sons, the latter being only 5 years and 3 years of age, respectively. Much sympathy is felt with deceased's aged parents and his family connections, this being the first death that has occurred in the O'Neill family.
