James Ogston (1873–1952)

Tribune regrets to announce the death of Mr. James Ogston, father of Adam Ogston, and a staunch supporter of the Communist Party.

Mr. Ogston came to Australia from Scotland 30 years ago. His militant Socialist convictions influenced his whole family. His last act was to donate £1 from his pension to the Tribune Fund.

A message of condolence to Adam Ogston was sent by the NSW Party Conference.

Mr. Ogston's remains were cremated at Rookwood last Tuesday.

Edgar Ross delivered the funeral oration.
