Mr. Michael O'Connell, who has been a resident of Broken Hill for the past 32 years, died last night at the Hospital at the age of 63 years. He was born in the north of Ireland and when only a boy came to Australia, living for a time at Adelaide. He was employed at the British mine up till the time of its closing. Mr. O'Connell had been ill for the past year his illness being due to an accident. He was an old member of the F.E.D. and F.A. He leaves a wife and grown up family of seven. The funeral took place this afternoon the cortege leaving his late residence, at 428 Wolfram-street, at 4 o'clock. The interment was made in the Roman Catholic Cemetery. The funeral arrangements, were carried out by Tom J. Mallon.
