Edward Hartnett (Ned) Murphy (1858–1926)

Yet another old Kimberley and Queensland identity in E. H. [Edward Hartnett] Murphy (Ned) passed away in the Government Hospital on the 22nd instant. Deceased was 78 years of age and has been ailing for some time past. He was recently brought to Derby from Fitzroy Crossing by Mr A. B. Scott. The funeral took place in the Church of England portion of the Derby Cemetery on Thursday afternoon. Dr. W. T. Hodge officiated at the grave side.
