Coulson Murphy (1855–1932)

Mr. Coulson Murphy, one of the earliest settlers in the Corrigin district, died at the Corrigin Hospital on Monday, aged 77 years. Mr. Murphy came to Western Australia from Bombala, New South Wales, and settled in the Corrigin district about 22 years ago. He was prominent in civic affairs, being chairman of the Corrigin Road Board during a difficult period of the board's history from 1921 to 1927. He also held the positions of president of the Corrigin Memorial Hall Committee, and chairman of the Corrigin Hospital Committee.
