Percival Conrad Mowle (1872–1951)

The death occurred in Sydney yesterday after a short illness of Mr. P. C. [Percival Conrad] Mowle, of Neutral Bay, son of the late Mr. Aubrey Mowle, of Bowral.

Mr. Mowle's 49 years with the Customs Department completed an unbroken family record of three generations of public service.

Mr. Mowle was deeply interested in the records of early Australia, and was widely known for his work, Pioneer Families of Australia.

He had just completed a history of The Formation of the Australian Customs Service.

Mr. Mowle is survived by Mrs. Mowle and his son, Mr. L. Mowle.
