George D. McKay (?–1914)

George McKay, n.d.

George McKay, n.d.

from Pastoral Review, 16 March 1914

Mr. George D. McKay, who was for many years secretary of the Pastoral Employers' Association of Central and Northern Queensland, died last month. He had been connected with the association from 1891 until May of last year, when he found it necessary to tender his resignation owing to ill-health. Mr. McKay spent most of his life in Rockhampton, and always took an energetic interest in the political, pastoral, and commercial interests of the Central Division of Queensland. Some three years ago he suffered from a serious breakdown, and never properly regained his health, his death occurring while on a visit to Wynnum. He leaves a wife and family.
