Katherine McLeod McConnel (?–1946)

Miss Katherine McLeod McConnel, who died suddenly at Toowong, was a daughter of the late James Henry McConnel,of Cressbrook. After graduating at Newnham, Cambridge (England), she was associated in Brisbane with several welfare organisations, and soon after its foundation acted as secretary to the National Council of Women of Queensland for which she did much valuable pioneer work. After the death of her father, Miss McConnel resided at The House, Cressbrook, until her mother died, in November, 1941 when she came to live at Toowong.
