John Macpherson-Smith (1909–1952)

A Healesville estate agent, Mr. John Macpherson Smith, aged 43, was the victim of a fatal car accident last Saturday. He was returning to his home at West Healesville, accompanied by four children, when, after passing a bus, his small touring car failed to regain the road, and capsized over a 15-foot embankment. Death was believed to have resulted from suffocation. The children were uninjured.
