
Mr. Daniel Thomas Luck, of Gogo, West Kimberley, W.A., a well known personality connected with the livestock industry in Western Australia, died in Perth on 5th May.
Mr. Luck was born on a Queensland station in 1887 and went to Leonora, W.A., in 1907. Later he joined Elder, Shenton and Co. (later Elder, Smith and Co. Limited), Perth, but in 1926 joined the staff of Emanuel Bros. Ltd. and eventually became managing director of that firm, which has extensive pastoral holdings in Western Australia.
Mr. Luck was an active member of the Western Australian Royal Agricultural Society and for 15 years served as ringmaster. He was elected to the council of the society in 1941 and was president from 1949 to 1951.
He was vice-president of the Pastoralists' Association of Western Australia until 1954, as well as a member of the W.A Club, the W.O. Polo Association, the Commercial Travellers' Association, the W.A. Trotting Association, the Fremantle Trotting Association, and patron of the South Perth Yacht Club.
Mr. Luck is survived by his widow, two daughters, and a son.
