Mr. Richard Henry Lightfoot, a former mayor of Richmond, died at his home in Elizabeth Street, North Richmond, on Friday.

Mr. Lightfoot was a member of the council for 21 years and mayor in 1929 and 1939. He retired from the council because of ill-health in 1950.

He is survived by his wife, two sons and two daughters. The funeral will leave his home at 2.45 p.m. today for Fawkner Cemetery. Arrangements are in the hands of Le Pine and Son Pty. Ltd.
