The death at her residence in East Maitland last week-end of Mrs. Rebecca Jones, removed one of the oldest natives of Morpeth. Deceased, who was in her 84th year, was born at Morpeth, and lived there until a few years ago, when she removed with her family to East Maitland. Her husband predeceased her over 40 years ago, but a grown-up family of two sons and two daughters survives. The sons are Messrs. Wallace and Herbert (East Maitland) and the daughters Mrs. Harcombe (Newcastle) and Mrs. C. McDonald (East Maitland).
The Interment was made in the Church of England cemetery at Morpeth.
