John Jackson (1819–1888)

We regret to have to record the death of Mr. J. [John] Jackson, of Boree Creek station, which took place at his residence yesterday morning. The deceased was a pioneer squatter, one of the oldest residents of this district, having arrived here 60 years ago, and 10 years later became the proprietor of his well-known Boree Creek property. He was about 68 years of age, was twice married; and has left a wife and large family.
