There died on January 18th last, at his residence, Hardwicke, Yass, N.S.W., Mr. Rawdon Hume, one of the best known pastoralists in the State. His father, the late Andrew Hamilton Hume, for many years residing at Epping, near Sydney, was a noted sheepbreeder, and specialised in fine-wool sheep. The late Mr. Rawdon Hume carried along on the lines established by his father, meeting with the same success. He won many prizes — for sheep and held certificates for exhibits from New Zealand, England and America. He resided formerly at Everton Rye Park, Boorowa, N.S.W., but for many years he had lived at the residence — where his death took place. He leaves a widow and family of three daughters and two sons. His is a distinct loss to the district where he was ever most popular, and our sympathy goes out to his family.
