Ethelwyn Horsley (1873–1942)

Late Miss E. Horsley

Miss Ethelwyn Horsley, who died in Brisbane a day or two ago, was the daughter of the late Mr J. H. Horsley, who was well known in life insurance circles here many years ago. The late Miss Horsley was born at Sebastopol, Victoria 69 years ago. She came to Brisbane with the family when a girl, and was the last surviving daughter living here. The only remaining daughter, Mrs. May Inglis, who lives in Melbourne, is the widow of the late Mr. F.W. Inglis. who served in the last war. A brother—Mr. Dick Horsley—lives in New Zealand. The late Miss Ethelwyn Horsley at one time was associated with the Methodist sisterhood here and later she assisted Mrs. T. Horsley in business at Ipswich. She lived with Mrs. T. Horsley at Junction Terrace, Annereley, of late years, and had attended her three sisters, who were in failing health.
