Former Forrest MLA Edward Joseph Frederick Holman, of Hobbs-ave., Nedlands, died in Royal Perth Hospital early today following a collapse at his home last night. He was 47.

Former secretary of the WA Printers' Union — he won the position in 1936 — Mr. Holman succeeded his sister, Mary Alice Holman, in Parliament after her death in March, 1939.

His sister had succeeded her father, who died in February, 1925.

Mr. Holman served with the Army during World War II.
