Edward Holliday (1873–1904)

It is with deep regret the Worker learns, on going to press, of the sudden death of Mr. Edward Holliday, a well known worker in the Labour Movement. For many years Mr Holliday was an active member of the South Brisbane W.P.O., Oxley Federal W.P.O., and the S.D.V., and rendered valuable aid in many a hard political fight in and around Brisbane. He represented the Queensland Central Political Executive at the last inter-State Political Labour Conference held in Sydney. A few days ago Mr. Holliday underwent an operation, which was unsuccessful, but it was not considered that his illness would have a fatal termination.
