James Hicks (1867–1933)

Mr. James Hicks, who died recently at his residence, Westerla, Twin-road, North Ryde, was 66 years of age, and a resident of Ryde district for many years. He was a noted orchardist and breeder of Jersey cattle, being a successful exhibitor at many shows. A widow, four daughters, and a son survive. The funeral took place at the Baptist Cemetery, North Ryde, being attended by many district residents, and members of the Samuel Jordan L.O.L. Lodge, and the P.A.F.S.
