Mr. Adam Henderson, of Bannockburn, Morinish, Queensland, died last month at his residence in Rockhampton, aged 79 years. He was born in Scotland on a sheep farm in Peebleshire, came to Australia in 1865, and got his first pastoral experience under the late Mr. C. B. Dutton. After some years of this life Mr. Henderson took up the homestead at Bannockburn, but lost nearly all his stock from drought in the first year. He made a fresh start, however, and by degrees acquired a very large holding. He managed his property up till quite recently, when failing health induced him to reside in town. He is survived by three sons and three daughters, as well as two grandsons. A brother, who is nearly ninety years of age, still survives in Rockhampton. Another brother, Mr. James Henderson, who is considerably over the three score years and ten, still lives in Peebles, only a few miles from the paternal home.
