Just six days after losing her father, William Milsom, Mrs C. M. Hayes of Fitzgerald Street, Windsor, lost her eldest daughter Dulcie Hilma Hayes. She died on the 19th December 1921 aged 17 years and 7 months at home. Known as "Queenie" she was beloved by all and an "accomplished musician" and was "budding into womanhood." She had started working at the Windsor telephone office 12 months previous. She attended her grandfather’s funeral then was holidaying with her aunt and uncle, the Pratt’s, when she took ill. It was found she had pleurisy and pneumonia. Her parents brought her home & under Dr Arnold’s care she seemed to be improving but then became unconscious and passed away. She is survived by her younger sister, Daisy, her parents and other relatives. She was buried at St. Matthew’s Church of England Cemetery.
