Mrs Harding (1861–1897)

The death is announced, at the early age of 36, of Mrs. Silas Harding, of Devon Park, Dunkeld, Victoria. Mrs. Harding, whose husband, Mr. Silas Harding, of Geelong, died some few years ago, was visiting her estate with a party of friends, and on the 9th inst. started for a drive with two young horses harnessed to a buggy. The horses bolted, and the whole party were thrown to the ground. Mrs. Harding was unfortunately dragged for some distance, and though the most eminent surgeons from Melbourne were sent for by special train, their services were of no avail, and Mrs. Harding died the following morning from the terrible injuries which she received. The other three members of the party were more or less seriously injured.
