An old Crimean veteran, Mr. T. A. [Thomas Augustus] Green, at the age of 89, died at a private hospital yesterday. He was the father of Mr. S. T. Green, well-known Labor Man, of Clovelly.
The late Mr. Green was a prominent figure in Labor circles in this State prior to his illness. Before coining to Australia he served in the Crimean War, and was present at the bombardment of Sebastapol.
In the employ of the Lafe? Services at the time of the wreck of the Dunbar, he was the man who saved the only survivor from the wreckage.
