Mary Jane Grayland (1868–1942)

The death occurred in Camperdown on Friday, of Mrs Mary Jane Grayland, relict of the late Mr James Grayland, formerly of Cobden. Since living in Cobden Mrs Crayland had been in Geelong for 12 years and in Camperdown for the past 18 months, where she was living with her daughter, Mrs A. Clingen. She was born in Buninyong, near Ballarat, 74 years ago and in her younger days lived in Bendigo for some time. Besides her daughter, she leaves one son, Mr James Grayland, of Geelong. She was buried at Geelong. Rev. Simpson, of St. George's Presbyterian Church, officiating at the graveside. The coffin bearers were Messrs T. Grayland (son), W. R. Ellis (brother), B. Coad, J. Noonan, A. Clingen, S. Hickey.
