Robert Govett (1838–1906)

Private advices have been received in Brisbane of the death of Mr. Robert Govett, who died at his residence, St. Albans, Geelong, on the 21st instant. The deceased was associated with Queensland for many years, being one of the fast-vanishing band who pioneered the Central and North-western districts in the early days. Mr. Govett, at the time of his death, was part owner of Culloden station, near Muttaburra. At one time he was part owner of Terrick, Northampton Downs, Portland Downs, and Isis Downs, in the Barcoo district.
