It is with profound regret we report the passing of Miss Rosa Gaudry, at a private hospital in Croydon, on Saturday, December 11, aged 66 years. The deceased lady, who was a native of Grafton, had been a telephonist in the G.P.O., Sydney, for the greater part of her life, and lived at Haberfield prior to her retirement some few years ago. For a time she lived with her brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Gaudry, at Fairfield West, before purchasing her home at Glenbrook, where she had resided for the past three years.
The late esteemed lady possessed a wonderfully cheery disposition, and had a host of friends. During her long illness she displayed marvellous courage and fortitude of spirit. She is survived by three brothers, Frank (Fairfield West), Walter (Melbourne) and Jack (Manly); one brother, Roy, and sister Mabel, are deceased.
Interment took, place at Rookwood on Monday, December 13. Rev. Fr. Kenna (a cousin of the deceased) administering the last sad rites.
The lovely floral tributes bore silent testimony of the love and affection held for this Christian lady.
