On October 9 Mr. Edward Gallard, of North-road, Eastwood, passed away at the age of 79 years. He was a brother of the late Mr. Frank Gallard. The late Mr. Edward Gallard came out to this country when very young and he lived practically all his life in the district. He was one of the pioneers of the fruitgrowing industry in this portion of Central Cumberland. He is survived by his widow, five sons and four daughters. His remains were interred in the Field of Mars cemetery on Saturday. The funeral was attended by all classes of the community.
