Sydney P. Fraser (?–1923)

Sidney Fraser, n.d.

Sidney Fraser, n.d.

from Pastoral Review, 16 May 1923

The late Mr. Sydney P. Fraser, who died recently, was for many years a well-known personality in Central Queensland, and highly esteemed among his contemporaries in the pastoral industry of that State. An English public school boy, he came to Australia as a young man, and some fifty years ago purchased Kilmorey Station, in the Maranoa district. This property passed out of his hands, and about 1882 he accepted from the Scottish Australian Investment Company Limited the management of Rowen Downs, near Muttaburra, where he was for many years. Later he took over the management of Saltern Greek, near Barcaldine, belonging to the same company, where he remained till a few years ago, when failing health compelled his retirement to Brisbane.
