Mr. Charles Fox died at his residence at 89 Greens-road, Paddington, last Sunday, aged 73 years. Born in Windsor, New South Wales, on December 12, 1862, he was one of the pioneers of the Labour and industrial movements in New South Wales. He had been president of the Trades and Labour Council and president and secretary of the Operative Bricklayer's Society. He organised a number of trade unions in New South Wales. He was also active in the Parents and Citizens' Federation of New South Wales, and in numerous charity organisations.
The funeral took place at the Botany Cemetery on Tuesday with Masonic honours. The service at the graveside was read by the Rev. A. Morris.
The chief mourners were Mrs. C. Fox (widow), Mrs. D. Clark (daughter), Mr. A. C. Fox (son), and Messrs. A. and W. Fox (brothers).
