The death occurred on the 27th January last of Mr. Thomas Fitzpatrick, of Erin Vale, Warre Warral, Junee, N.S.W., who was born in 1835 at Mountrath, Queen's County, Ireland, and landed in Australia in 1884. He gained experience among sheep on Messrs. Harvey and Alleyne's stations, Bringagee and Wyvern. In 1887 he went to Temora Station as manager for the late John McPherson. Temora comprised in those days about 240,000 acres, embracing in its area all that country whereon the town of Temora now stands. In 1869, the late Mr. Fitzpatrick married Miss Sproule, daughter of a previous owner of Temora Station. He settled at Erin Vale, where he built up a highly-improved property. Mr. Fitzpatrick was elected member for the Murrumbidgee in 1894. He represented the electorate for over ten years. He was president of the Temora P.A.H. & I. Association for many years, and was also a licensing magistrate. He was recognised as a sound judge of Merino sheep, and has acted as judge at all the leading shows, including the Australian Sheep Breeders' big event. His wife and his only daughter predeceased him. There are three sons living. Thomas J. A. Fitzpatrick, B.A., of Erin Vale and Warre Warral; John Fitzpatrick, Tilboroo, Illabo, and Dr. B. S.
