Following a tragic motor accident on the Cobar-Louth road (N.S.W.) on the night of 5th May when his car collided with a heavy semi-trailer, Mr. Noel Falkenhagen died next day in the Cobar hospital at the age of 38. He was the son of a fine old pioneering couple, Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Falkenhagen, who since the very early days on the Darling and until their retirement resided at Rose Isle Station. Here they reared their family, most of whom still follow pastoral pursuits in the West of New South Wales. It was on Rose Isle that Noel gained his pastoral experience which qualified him to take over the property from his father.
He leaves a widow, who before her marriage was Miss Vera Lamph, and a son (Bryson) who is at The Scots College, Sydney.
