The news of Dr. Everitt's death at Meningie last Wednesday came as a great surprise and shock to the residents here. He had not been in good health lately, and on his last visit a fortnight ago complained of not feeling well, but his early death was not expected. For the last three years the doctor has been paying monthly visits to the mission, being paid by the Government to do so. Prior to this arrangement the natives had to be sent to the Adelaide Hospital or else to Meningie for treatment.
