News of the death of Mr. Frederick Elliott, aged 78, senior partner of the firm of Elliott Bros., wholesale chemists and druggists, has been received by cable. He died at Cassel, in Prussia. The deceased leaves a widow and three daughters, two of whom are married and live on the Continent, one of them being the Countess Ragendorf. The third, Mrs. William Cowper, is a resident of Camden. Mr. James Elliott, of Mosman, is a brother of deceased. Born in 1827 in England. Mr. Elliott came to Sydney in 1844, and with Dr. Elliott founded the firm of Elliott Bros. Mr. James Elliott entered the firm later. The deceased married the youngest daughter of the Rev. John Vincent, who was one of the first colonial chaplains.
