Word was received in Narracoorte on Thursday by Mrs. de la Perrelle of her husband's death at sea. Mr. de la Perrelle was taking a trip home, and passed away on Sunday, August 4. He was well known in Narracoorte, having come here several years ago and acquired a property at Keppock, and later at Wild Dog Valley, where with his son, Leon, he carried on farming for some years. Health reasons necessitated his going to Adelaide, where he did a war-time job with the Customs at Port Adelaide. He went up to Queensland to see his son settled after his discharge from the services. The three daughters of the deceased, Helen, Eugenie and Dorothy, were all in the A.W.A.S., and have just recently been discharged. Much sympathy is felt for Mrs. de la Perrelle and her family in the loss of their husband and father under such sad circumstances.
