The death occurred in the Hospital last night of a very old resident of Railway Town. Mr. Albert Caswell Crannaford, at the age of 67 years. He leaves a widow, two sons Messrs Bert and Bob. and one daughter Mrs. I. G. Turner.
Mr. Crannaford was for years an active member of the Municipal Employees' Union. He was a member of the U.A.O.D. Railway Ledge, and was superintendent of the Barry Juvenile Druids Lodge. He was also a member of an Adelaide branch of the Rechabite Lodge.
Mr. Crannaford was employed by the City Council, until he retired a few years ago. Since then he had been in failing health and suffered a lot. He was man of staunch Labor principles and took a deep interest in the movement.
The funeral will take place this afternoon, leaving his late residence, 82 Nicholls Street, at 2.30 p.m., the interment being in the Methodist Cemetery in the same grave as his daughter, Gloria, who died in March, 1919. Envoy J. Crocker will officiate at the graveside.
