A former well known resident of the Nimbin district, Mrs. Margaret Lydia Louisa Cottee (74), who had been residing at Coraki for the past six months, died yesterday afternoon. Born in Lismore, she was a Miss Lofts. She married the late Alfred William Cottee and they settled as pioneers of the Nimbin district, Mr. Cottee selecting a farming property. Mrs. Cottee resided for a short time at Kyogle prior to taking up residence at Coraki, but most of her life was spent at Nimbin and Lismore. Her husband died in 1923. Three sons, Messrs. George Cottee (Coraki), Alan Cottee (Kyogle), and Jack Cottee (Evans Head), and a daughter, Mrs. Jean Scarr, of Coraki, survive. Mrs. David Hughes, of Coraki, is a sister.
