Trevor Cooke (1890–1899)

Master Trevor Cooke, a son of Mr. Cecil Cooke, Murndal, 9 years of age, died on Saturday afternoon under chloroform, whilst being operated upon for enlarged tonsil and post-nasal growth. The operation, which was performed by Dr. Bennett, assisted by Mr. MacGillivray, M.B., at the former's private hospital, had been succcessfully accomplished, when trouble arose with his breathing. Artificial respiration was resorted to, but the heart's action failed, and the boy died.
