Eliza Comer (1820–1908)

We regret to have to record in this issue the death, at her residence, "Albina," Merrigang-street, Bowral, of Mrs. Eliza Corner, relict of the late Edward Comer, at the age of 88 years. The deceased lady was born in London (Eng.) and arrived in this State at the age of 6 years. About sixty years ago she settled at Comerton Park, and with her husband acquired, a good deal of property, there. The deceased lady had been a resident of the district ever since. She leaves a family of three sons and a daughter — Mr. Edward Comer (West Australia), Mr. Charles Comer (Bowral), Mr. William Comer (Victoria), and Mrs. Swan (Kangaloon)—together with a large number of grand-children and great grand-children. The funeral will take place this (Wednesday) morning at 10 a.m., when the remains will be interred in St. Jude's Church of England Cemetery.
