William Bower Colquhoun (1821–1909)

There passed away on Saturday at his residence, 76 Queen-street, a very old and respected resident, in the person of Mr. William Bower Colquhoun, aged 88 years. The deceased gentleman had only been ailing about a couple of months. He carried on a business as a watchmaker and jeweller in the Arcade for a number of years. The late Dr. Archibald Colquhoun, one time resident surgeon of the Bendigo Hospital, also Dr. Dan Colquhoun, of Dunedin, New Zealand, were his two nephews. He arrived in this State in the year 1844. He was a member of the Rechabite Lodge for over forty years, and an old member of the Bendigo Bowling Club. Deceased leaves a widow to mourn his loss. The funeral takes place to-day at half-past 3 o'clock for the Bendigo Cemetery.
