David James Coles (1921–1953)

David James Coles, 32, eldest son of the chairman of the Olympic Games Control Committee, Mr. A. W. Coles, was killed this morning in a tractor accident on his 2,600 acre sheep property near Mansfield, 119 miles north-east of Melbourne.

He was married and had three children.

Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Coles left Melbourne for the station immediately they learned of the tragedy.
