A sincere wave of sympathy went over the district when it was learned that Mr. Arthur Watsford Chaseling, of Minchinbury, Rooty Hill, had passed away very suddenly in the Nepean District Hospital at the early age of 40 years.
The deceased came with his wife, son and two daughters to reside in this district some four years ago. His sterling qualities soon won him a host of friends, none more staunch than Mr. I. L. Combet, Manager of Minchinbury vineyards, and his passing has left a blank that will be difficult to fill.
The late Mr. Chaseling was a member of a very well known family in N.S.W., and his mother lives at Rooty Hill. To his widow and family and relations we extend our deepest sympathy in their bereavement.
A service was held in the Penrith Presbyterian Church by Rev. A. J. Barrett (through the courtesy of Rev. Fleming), which was largely attended.
The Masonic Service was read by Wor. Bros. McAuley and Kepreotis, of Lodge Nepean No. 29. U.G.L. of N.S.W., of which deceased was a member.
Many beautiful floral tributes were forwarded.
The cortege moved to the Rookwood Crematorium, where the last rites were conducted by Rev. A. J. Barrett.
