Oswald Murray (Ossy) Charlton (1873–1929)

The funeral of Mr. Oswald Murray Charlton, who died on Sunday morning at Killara, after a long illness, took place at Waverley Cemetery on Monday.

The late Mr. Charlton, father of Andrew ("Boy") Charlton, the swimmer, was the fifth son of the late Mr. T. A. Charlton, once a well-known city conveyancer. He was an old resident of Manly, and had been connected with the Bank of New South Wales for about 40 years. He was at one time manager of the Crow's Nest branch, and later he was transferred to the head office. He is survived by Mrs. Charlton and three children, Misses Ada and Enid Charlton and Andrew.
