After a long illness culminating in three years confinement in the Horsham Base Hospital, Mr William Alfred Carter, of 24 Wawunna road, died there on Sunday. He was born at Condah 68 years ago, and at the age of 21 was married to Miss Alice Treloar, at Myamyn. Deceased lived in the Myamyn district for several years before coming to Horsham, where he was employed at Messrs. Uebergang's chaff mill for a long period of years. He was associated with several town organisations, including the May Park Sports Committee. He is survived by his widow and three children, Pearl (Mrs. Jos Wik, Horsham), Laura (Mrs. J. Glesson, Horsham) and John (Stawell). The funeral will take place to-day (Tuesday) at the Horsham Cemetery, leaving Hutchesson's Mortuary.
