On the 8th inst Mr. T. H. [Thomas Henry] Browne, senior partner in the firm of J. C. Young and Co., woolbrokers and fat stock salesmen, of Sydney, died at his residence, Edgecliffe Road, Sydney, from an attack of paralysis, at the age of 62. Mr. Browne was the eldest surviving son of the late Mr. John Browne, of Singleton, N.S.W., and with his brother, Mr. A. D. Browne, he managed the several station properties left by his father, including Coppymurrumbilla, Pullaming, and Upper Tia. Some eight years ago, Mr. Browne and his brother joined Mr. J. C. Young, his son-in-law, in establishing the well-known wool and stock business of J. C. Young and Co., and during the rest of his life devoted himself with great energy to the extension of that business.
The deceased gentleman, although he did not take much part in public affairs, was well-known and highly esteemed for his many excellent qualities, throughout the mother colony, especially in the Northern districts where he spent the earlier portion of his life.
