William Henry Broughton (1802–1858)

Mr. W. H. Broughton, an old resident much respected as an upright magistrate and a generous friend to all who ever sought his advice or assistance, died on the 4th instant, at the age of 56. He was a native of the colony, and the son of Deputy Assistant Commissary General Broughton, one of the first Government officers who settled in Australia. Mr. Broughton's funeral was numerously attended.
