William Bowman (1823–1898)

From Muswellbrook comes word of the death of Mr William Bowman, J.P. The late Mr Bowman was the second son of the late George Bowman (familiarly called the "Father of Richmond"). Deceased, who had been ailing for some time, died on Wednesday morning 27th April. The remains were conveyed to Richmond and were interred in the family vault in the Presbyterian Church on Thursday. Deceased leaves a widow and one son. He was the second eldest brother of the late Mr Alexander Bowman, for many years M.P. for the Hawkesbury District.
