from Horsham Times
A telegram was received in Horsham yesterday morning from Sydney announcing the death of Mr. Egbert Bolton, aged 48, third son of the late Mr. Stuart B. Bolton, and brother of Messrs. Wilson and Ed. Bolton, of Horsham. Deceased, who was a native of Horsham, left the district upwards of ten years ago, and for eight years had successfully carried on grazing pursuits in New South Wales, where he had some 6000 odd acres of land known as "Copi" situated about 3o miles from Wyalong. Some years ago he was in the Horsham Sub-Treasury, and owing to indifferent health resigned his position and took up fruit growing, etc., near Bungalally, also filling the post of official assignee. By old residents he will be remembered also in the football field, when he did many a good battle for the old Union Club. Deceased, who was unmarried, had not been in good health for some time, but his friends had no idea that he was so ill, death taking place in a private hospital in Sydney. About two years ago he paid a visit to Horsham. Mr. Ed. Bolton left by express this morning for Sydney.
