John Andrew Bloodworth (1858–1942)

The death is announced of Mr John Andrew Bloodworth, late of Coonamble, at his residence, Victoria Road, Bellevue Hill, on August 3, aged 83 years.

Many old friends in the Coonamble, Gilgandra and Coonabarbran districts will regret to hear of the passing of this fine gentle man, who was a prominent grazier at Coonamble prior to his retirement.

Of a quiet, retiring disposition, Mr. Bloodworth was known for his kindly and genial nature. He was a splendid horseman in his younger days and took a keen interest in breeding pedigreed stock which were exhibited at the district shows.

He leaves the following family to mourn his loss: Mrs. Ellen Bloodworth (widow), Harold, Harley (A.I.F. abroad), Allan, George and Kevin (A.I.F. abroad). Mrs. W. M. Lyttleton and Miss Vera Bloodworth (Sydney). The funeral service was held in the Church of England Chapel, Crown Street, Sydney, on Tuesday of last week, followed by the interment in the Church of England portion of the Botany Cemetery.
